Shake Shack

Today after work I was hungry for a good hamburger and fries, so I decided to stop by the Shake Shack for dinner. I went about a year ago and I really liked it, so I thought it would be a good idea to come back again.

I apologize for the crappy quality of the last photo, I took it with my phone and unfortunately blackberries have very bad camera quality. Nonetheless, the burger and fries were awesome, it took a while because it was so crowded but I definitely do not regret it! I also gut a coupon for a free shake if I come back to the store so some time in June I'll probably go back again! If you have a Shake Shack around where you live, or you plan on visiting NYC some time soon, make sure to go there because it's great and it's not too expensive either!

New York City Adventures

On Saturday my mom, grandma, and I went to go see a french movie called "The Intouchables" it was a nice movie I suggest you all see it. It has English subtitles by the way! Before we got to the theater which is located near Columbus Circle I decided to take a few pictures here and there!
It was so muggy and gross outside because we were due for a couple of rain showers. My mom and grandma had to run some errands so I stayed outside, bought some ice cream, and walked along 5th avenue. I also went browsing in Abercrombie & Fitch located on 56th and 5th avenue. I was going to take a picture of it but unfortunately it started to rain and I didn't want to get my camera wet! While I was there, I looked at some overly expensive clothing haha, and checked out the pretty attractive models. I also went to apply to work there since I could use some extra money, and a reason to leave my house this summer. Hopefully I get the job wish me luck!

Heathers

Since I'm done with school and on vacation for the next 3 months, I've been watching a ton of movies, especially teen 80s movies. I stumbled upon this movie called Heathers starring Winnona Ryder and Christian Slater.

To tell you the truth, at first glance of the movie poster, I thought it was a movie about a girl who seeks to fit in to a high school clique, and then learns that popularity doesn't matter blah blah blah. But boy was I wrong...
This movie is cynical, dark, hilarious; it keeps you excited and interested. As I was watching I kept yelling at my computer screen, and my parents thought I was crazy!! Out of 10 I give this movie an 8. It was so so good I keep on seeing it over and over again because it blew my mind so much! I highly suggest that you watch it you definitely will not regret it!
These screen caps are a bit misleading but if I showed any more then I would give away the movie. It's just so surprising and mind blowing I just can't stop thinking about it haha. If you happen to remember this movie go ahead and watch it and tell me what you think! I'm off to watch a few more movies, see you later!

Wardrobe desires

I don't have much money at the moment since I spent most of it on my camera, and I owe my mom a little bit  of money as well, but here a few things that I was thinking of purchasing from Forever 21. These clothing pieces are pretty basic because you can use them in many different outfits. Denim shirts, colored denim shorts, beanies, plain sweatshirts, striped sweatshirts, are all different clothing pieces that I think most people should have since they're so versatile.

I was thinking about the never-ending tomboy vs. girly girl argument and I think that it really shouldn't matter. Sometimes people criticize me for never wearing dresses or skirts, because they think that I'm not dressing like a "regular girl". But I love wearing shorts, jeans, button down shirts, boots, and sneakers, and that's totally fine. There are girls who love wearing heels, sandals, skirts, dresses, and jumpers and that's totally fine as well. The world would be such a boring place if we all wore the same things all the time! I think we all should wear whatever we want to wear without getting criticized for it, (as long as it's not offensive of course). Anyway, hope you're having a nice Sunday!

P.S. What's your style, and do you get criticized for it?

Walking around town

Yesterday my friends and I decided to hang out around town. We went to a restaurant, had some great Chinese/Japanese food, I got a kind of ridiculous fortune from my fortune cookie =/ haha, we walked around the beautiful neighborhood, and later stopped at Starbucks. It was a fun day/night; catching up with friends is always great. Now that we're all free from school, we can go hang out a lot more and just goof off for the 3 months we're free, until school starts up again of course!

Summer Vacation awaits

Well, I'm finished with all of my finals, but the stress is not over yet because I have yet to receive my final grades, but I'm pretty confident that I did well in my classes (except for one unfortunately). Anyway, this summer I don't plan on doing much since the Spring semesters sucked the living day light out of me, but I still plan on doing some things and taking a couple of trips here and there to get out of the house.

To tell you the truth, I'm not too fond of summer; it makes me irritable, the humidity makes it harder to breath, my hair blows up about 3 times its size, and I hate how the public transportation always smells like sweat around here. Fall is my favorite season and I would much rather deal with it than summer but oh well what can you do?

Oh and before I forget! On Sunday, I took my camera outside with me for the first time, and took a few pictures. Hope you enjoy!

P.S. What is your favorite season and why?

Jamaican Black Castor Oil

For those of you who have very fine, relaxed, curly, thick or limp hair (basically all types of hair), Jamaican Black Castor Oil is a great product to help thicken it, and strengthen it.

Jamaican Black Castor Oil, which comes in plain, and lavender scented, and is made by a few women in Jamaica. The oil which has very thick in consistency can be used as a moisturizing seal, a hair stimulant that promotes growth of thicker and stronger hair, a massage oil; it can detoxify the scalp of poisons and dirt, etc. A little goes a long way especially if you have very thin hair, and it's not as expensive as other oils that are ever so popular like Moroccan Oil, Coconut Oil, etc.

I've been using the lavender scented JBCO for months, and I've had great results from it. My hair was always pretty coarse and thick even when relaxed, but it makes my new growth which is not relaxed is already much thicker than it usually is. It allows the moisture in my hair to be retained longer, and it has makes my hair feel generally healthier. I use about a cap full every few days or so and it definitely has made a great difference.

JBCO doesn't work for everyone unfortunately. Some people reported that it caused breakouts on their scalp, intense itching and discomfort, etc. But that's not surprising. It actually has made my scalp itchy the first time I tried it, but as time went on my scalp got used to it and I didn't have the discomfort anymore. I've learned so far in my hair journey that whatever works for 100 people may not work for me; trial and error is the game, and learning how to manage your hair can be a challenge. Maybe this product with help thicken up your hair or maybe it won't who knows.

I also heard that it can be used to thicken eyebrows, and eyelashes so if you suffer in those areas, at night, just dab a bit of the oil on a cotton swab and massage it into those problem areas. In the morning, wash it off with a good quality soap. But be careful not to get the oil in your eyes it can be very irritating!!

This product can be found in Black Beauty Stores or can be ordered online:
It's not very easy to find so most of you would probably have to order it, and it costs about $8.00 a bottle.

Hope this helped you in some way, it defintely helped me!
